Alexander James – Drowning In Brands
Photographer Alexander James presents Drowning in Brands, an ode to 10 of the most prominent logos in the world. Most impressive is the technique. “A new underwater series with rippling waves of light and energy moving over the scene. A set of 10 images of iconic global brands recreated in lush rose formations all shot underwater with subtle distortions through the waters own lapping wave energy.” There’s absolutely no post-production work – these are simply photos of roses underwater. Now available at the Alexander James Image Library.
See more images from this series after the click.
Gucci 3D Glasses
Gucci’s new 3D glasses allegedly improve the 3D viewing experience – beyond personal aesthetics.
“The Gucci 3-D glasses contain a high tech multi-layered mirrored coating which allows the wearer to view themselves in a mirror without distortion. The mirrored coating not only provides a premium look as well as offers superior viewing and contrast enhancement, but also allows over 98 percent of visible light through, therefore not affecting viewing in a cinema environment. An anti-reflective coating has been applied to the back of the lens for additional overall image quality by reducing scattered light, glare and blue light.”
These aviator style 3D glasses will be available at Gucci boutiques this holiday season for $225 USD.

Marshall Headphones joining your JCM 900
Details are few and far betwixt right now, but a legendary name in guitar amplification is about to branch out in a big way. The cans you see above are slated to launch officially on November 15th, proudly boasting the Marshall label, a 1/4-inch input jack and soft, pillowy earcups. We get the impression that at least the initial run may be a limited time offer, so those interested in getting a head start can peek the source link for an early pre-order signup. Mum's the word on price, but given that you sunk well over a grand into the tubes behind you, there's little doubt that you'll be overlooking a modest premium.

NIKE ACG REVADERCHI × UNDERCOVER
These might look familiar to many and not so to others. These are the Nike ACG Revaderchi x UNDERCOVER colab a refresh from the original ACG 80's classic "Ribaderuchi". These are coming to UNDERCOVER stores in two colorways for ¥21000 ($259).
Nike x UNDERCOVER Gyakusou Running Event Recap
I truly wish I could be at one of these events.
Last night saw a unique celebration of the Undercover x Nike Gyakusou collection. Retaining the project’s running theme, teams took to a Japanese track to run a relay race. Clad in Nike Sportswear, the runners ran hard and the night fun run was successful. Following the race, a party was held with special guest DJ’s on the wheels of steel. Look out for the Gyakusou collection to release on October 23.

Kiehl's x Jeff Koons
I'm never surprised to see to Jeff Koons where I wouldn't expect.
Once again Kiehl’s has teamed up with art superstar Jeff Koons to offer some limited edition product for the holiday season, all featuring the artist’s Tulips work.

The Walking Dead
The AMC show spawned from the comic book, The Walking Dead, is shaping up to be of the best shows of the season. The show premieres on Oct. 31, a fitting day as it is Halloween in the US. I've had multiple sources see the premiere episode already and I hear its a MUST. The comic was bangin by the way.
Simpsons World
You may think that by knowing what episode of The Simpsons is getting ready to come on by Bart's chalkboard phrase, you know a lot about the show. But you still don't hold all the knowledge of Simpsons World ($90). This 1,200 page, 8.8 pound gargantuan devotes at least two pages to every single episode of The Simpsons' epic 20-season run, and also features new artwork, a complete filmography of "Itchy & Scratchy," and a list of every "D'oh" or "Mmm..." Homer has ever uttered, which is kind of like keeping track of every time Steve Jobs has ever said "boom."

Nike Air Foamposite One Metallic Pewter
Yup
The satiny matte finished upper perfectly resembling the metal from which they get their name. These are scheduled to hit retailers in Spring 2011 along with the OGs, and just as is the case with that already iconic colorway, these joints are inevitably going to pop up early from select retailers. Case in point: you can already grab sizes 8-12 somewhere between 3-6 months early (official release date TBA) from Marquee Sole.

Mountain Dew: Paul Rodriguez
I'm not a skateboarder but I've seen Paul do his thing and he's sick. This is a great commercial because if you do anything that is remotely difficult and you continually try and try to do then you know exactly what he's talking about. I'm a runner and you NEVER beat the clock but beating your best time and other people gives you a certain feeling.
Marvel Comics x TRON: LEGACY Comic Book Covers
TRON was one of the best movies and games of my childhood. I'm looking forward to these comics.
In promotion of the much anticipated movie TRON: LEGACY, Marvel has just unleashed these preview shots of a forthcoming Tron-inspired comic book series. Combining established superheroes with Tron imagery, some of the characters featured include Spiderman, Thor and Captain America. The Tron variants will go on sale between November and December of this year. For those interested in the movie itself, a worldwide release is currently scheduled for December 2010.

Mishka Fall 2010 Lookbook by Ellen Stagg
Brooklyn is in the house! This is the best lookbook I've seen in sometime...and yes that is the 12yr old boy in me talking. Thanks Kristen, and thanks Ellen for using Kristen.
Mishka once again commissioned photographer Ellen Stagg to shoot a lookbook for their Fall 2010 Collection. Without a doubt this is the hottest lookbook to come from the New York brand, with t-shirts chopped up and everything styled a little different than usual.

Banksy's Back in the U.K. (London)
Banksy!!!
If you haven't yet check out Exit Through the Gift Shop.
Remember the Koons dog piece Banksy put up in April as part of the LA premiere of his documentary? Well, you knew it would only be a matter of time before he took on another famous canine - the Haring dog! Take another look at this piece as well as a couple other new pieces in London, a take on The Clash’s London Calling cover and a robot box head piece after the jump… Guess theSimpsons project didn’t take up all his time.

Phosphor World Time Curved E Ink Watch
I think I need one of these...how can a world traveler not need this? Polyurethane Band for those athletic days.
A little company by the name of Art Technology has been delivering mass-market wearables using the technology since 2007 -- and its latest model dials up the functionality factor just a smidge by adding support for twenty-four time zones, two of which can be displayed simultaneously. Granted, it's using a segmented display, not dot matrix -- which means it bears a closer resemblance to that Timex you owned in the late '80s than Seiko's wild active matrix model -- but again, like we said, this one's actually quite affordable and it's available right this second ($150-$195).

Air Jordan VII “Premio” Bin 23 Collection
Welcome to Africa...it's the Rumble in the Jungle.
Jordan brand are set to release this colorway of the Air Jordan VII, adding to their on-going Premio Bin 23 Collection. The striking African tribal design makes reference to the early 90’s, a time not only when the designs were popular, but when the AJ VII was first released. Just as previous releases in the same collection, each shoe will be individually numbered and will come with a branded shoe tree to ensure that the shoe retains its shape. Expect a release soon from select retailers including Limited Edt Vault.
Chopard Imperiale Women's Watches
The larger 40mm wide versions of this redo of the Chopard Imperiale collection (from the 1990s) don't look too far off from a man's model. Don't be mistaken though, these are watches for the ladies. In steel and rose gold, they will come in 36mm wide and 40mm wide versions. There are also alligator strap or metal bracelet options. Don't forget the available diamond decoration on the bezel. Dials have mother-of-pearl, while the look of the watches resemble what a man's watch dipped in fairy dust might look like. There is almost Cartier like quality to them, but the bold hands are all Chopard in design. The pieces are not only attractive, but also legible.
Lauren Merkin's Studded Lambskin Mini Bag
Lauren Merkin's Studded Lambskin Mini Bag ($275) has be redesigned for breast cancer awareness this time around. Lined with Swarovski crystals this pleated clutch is perfect for many events. The thing I like most about it though is that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Young Survival Coalition (YSC). Hurry now bag is only on sale in this color thru October.
Yves Saint Laurent Asymmetric Platforms
Love YSL
To say YSL's Asymmetric Platforms ($920) are brightly colored is an understatement. They are Willy Wonka toxic grape flavored eye candy. They stand out incredibly while on display in a store and even more so when worn. Covered in a stunningly vibrant purple suede, YSL's platforms do not need any extra bells and whistles – the color says it all. And a 5 1/2" heel with a 1 1/4" platform doesn't hurt to really bring home the point "look at my cool ass shoes!"
