Vitrahaus: A Building With a View, and a View, and a View, and a View

Vitra, a Swiss furniture manufacturer, recently completed the Vitrahaus as a presentation space for their collection. Yes, that's a real photograph. The building's comprised of 12 stacked "houses," and if you can believe it, the inside is no less stunning.

Designed by Herzog and de Meuron, Vitrahaus's large, house-shaped windows provide various views of the surrounding area during the day—it is located on the border of Germany and Switzerland, in the town of Weil am Rhein—but at night the focus flips, with the windows becoming glowing portals into which passersby can peer.

U-Boat 1001 Diver

I'll just say WOW, always loved divers and U-Boat delievers as usual.

This is a preview of one of the three new watches that will be presented by U-Boat at Baselworld next month. The 1001, before its unusual features are unveiled, will be presented to the public in an aluminium technological casket, visible only through a riveted port hole, reminiscent of a deep abyss. On opening the box, the unusual nature of the 1001 will be immediately apparent, starting with the 55-millimetre diameter grade 2 natural titanium box, with the distinctive position of the rim protection on the left, helium valve and titanium plate bearing the serial number. The face is easy to read because it has hours, minutes, seconds and the date at 4 o'clock. There are supernova pigments with beige, orange or blue, which make the white U1001 writing in relief stand out.

Knew Stacks from the way he used to get around dude was in every hood doing his thing. If you knew him you understand how good a dude is was. Worked harder than most people I know grindin in any arena. Best thing is he knew how good he was and it was cocky it was confidence. From the streets to the fashion to the way he approached life he was a stand up dude and it why he was my man. This soldier will always be missed. Look out for Stacks music coming on iTunes thanks to his loved ones, and please understand he is what the game was missing.

NYC Fashion Week Randoms

Fashion Week always brings out daring outfits both in and out the tents. These Michael Kors heeled duckbots with fannel upper was donned by Taylor Tomasi, who works over at Marie Claire. I didn't like them at first but they've grown on me. Good job Taylor.

Now this is this is a great collabo, light blue cordlane, MEAN. Go all the way in and throw on some Mr. Hare Kerouac (not tucked though)...straight outlandish but stylin!

XLarge worked with The Duffer of St. George for Spring 2010. The two brands present a light blue cordlane suit, consisting of a blazer and matching pant. Also they worked on a collaborative t-shirt, fusing the logos of both brands. The collaborative capsule collection is set to release February 2010.

Tommy Hilfiger is pleased to announced the February 2010 exclusive launch of its limited-edition footwear capsule collection, created in collaboration with the Keith Haring Foundation and Artestar LLC, at colette in Paris, France. The capsule collection includes sneakers and rainboots for women and children, as well as sneakers for men and features artwork from the late artist.
